Service Provider Terms & Conditions

These Service Provider Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the participation of service providers ("Providers") on the UrbanWish platform.

1. Provider Eligibility

  • Providers must be 18 years or older.
  • Providers must be legally registered or authorized to operate their business in Nigeria.

2. Role of UrbanWish

  • UrbanWish acts solely as an intermediary marketplace between users and service providers.
  • UrbanWish does not employ Providers and does not deliver services on their behalf.

3. Onboarding & Verification

  • Providers must submit required verification documents (e.g., ID, business registration).
  • Listings go live once minimum required information is submitted, subject to post‑verification.
  • UrbanWish reserves the right to suspend listings pending verification or compliance review.

4. Listings, Pricing & Content

  • Providers control service descriptions and pricing (flat pricing initially).
  • Providers must ensure all listings are accurate, complete, and not misleading.
  • Providers grant UrbanWish a license to display uploaded content for marketing and platform use.

5. Bookings & Service Delivery

  • Providers must honor confirmed bookings as listed.
  • Users with valid bookings must be prioritized if they arrive on time.
  • Failure to deliver services as described may result in refunds, penalties, or suspension.

6. Cancellations

  • Providers may cancel bookings no later than 6 hours before the scheduled time, with a valid reason.
  • Repeated short‑notice cancellations may result in penalties or delisting.

7. Payments, Commissions & Wallet

  • UrbanWish operates a commission‑based model, with subscription models applied to select categories.
  • User payments are held in escrow.
  • Funds become available for withdrawal 24 hours after service completion.
  • Providers are responsible for their own taxes, levies, and statutory obligations.

8. Disputes & Refunds

  • UrbanWish may facilitate dispute resolution in good faith.
  • Final refund decisions rest with UrbanWish where platform payments are involved.

9. Ratings, Reviews & Conduct

  • Providers may not respond directly to reviews.
  • Consistently low ratings, abuse, fraud, misrepresentation, or violence may result in suspension or termination.

10. Compliance & Legal Responsibility

Providers are solely responsible for:

  • Service quality, safety, and legality
  • Compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations
  • Insurance, permits, and operational standards

11. Suspension & Termination

UrbanWish may temporarily or permanently suspend Providers for:

  • Policy violations
  • Fraud or misrepresentation
  • Repeated customer complaints or low performance

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Nigerian law:

  • UrbanWish is not liable for Provider business losses, indirect damages, or reputational harm.
  • Liability is limited to commissions earned on disputed transactions.

13. Governing Law & Arbitration

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • Disputes shall be resolved via local arbitration in Nigeria.

14. Amendments

UrbanWish may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
